Thanks for replying everyone !

The coin is graded VF-20 by NTC...
I thought the coin might have made F-15 going by ANA standards...
I think anything that might be making the coin look off would just be a result of my poor photo skills !

At least Thad and I were on the same page with this Lincoln. If that coin is a VF-20 Then I've got some dynamite Wheaties in my collection.

F-12, no more. Cheek to jaw look smooth as [insert favorite simile here]. Any one else suspicious of an earlier cleaning?

That's one thing I aways thought didn't make sense with low grade circulated coins ..
For a coin to circulate down to Vg- Fine I'm sure it's seen several things that's would qualify as a cleaning . Unless you got a obvious dipped in copper cleaner VG8 or it's covered in hairlines from being cleaned with a wire brush then you don't know whether that coins been threw a wash machine 15 time , layed on the side walk in the rain a few weeks or really what that coin has or hasn't seen ...
So in my opinion on these types of coins it would be crazy to think you had one that hadn't seen some form of cleaning ...

Yes, very much...the color and patina are a bit odd, probably from an old cleaning.

Coinguy - strongly disagree if I understand what you are saying. An original, uncleaned early LWC is just dead obvious.

It may have problems, but not the basic natural color of its surfaces. An original coin hardly needs a second look.

An un-cleaned coin doesn't look like this one does.. I stand behind it getting a details grade for cleaning

Come on guys there's no way possible you can say with 100% certainty that you know your prized key date coin in vg8 did or didn't go threw grandmas wash 50 years ago when it was a couple grades higher ...

On a side note :
From my experiences posting and reading others post on here the past few months it would appear that the more a person disagrees with your opinion the more problems your coin begins to have ..
Almost as if , I don't agree with you so all I can do is find a problem with your coin :)
I better stop while I still have a couple problem free coins left :)
Rest in Peace

coinguy , the last photo of the reverse does look a little suspicious of a very old cleaning. no one here is out to hurt you. you showed us pics of your coin and asked what we thought of it. Well we are giving you our opinions and our thoughts. nothing more.

@ T BOP
You are correct about that photo , I tried to explain earlier that it was my photo skills as that photo was takin under a different light and doesn't show the true nature of the coin .. I was trying everything I could to get a photo with the wheat lines showing ...
As for my previous comment it wasn't just related to this post , and I wasn't referring to everyone as I know the better part of people here are just being honest and trying to help ...
I honestly do believe their are some who do as I suggested though ...
I'm not saying it's only directed at me or my post but if you watch you will notice a handful that have never seen a problem free coin , other then all the coins they own of course !!
