I love how his description reads. It's so simple and dumb it's brilliant

Hey guys, "it's really rare"
I snorted so hard I almost choked on my tongue.
Thanks for the good laugh. It would be really sad if someone fell for this.

You never know...
As if anyone needed another "stay away" sign, seller has 8 feedback and all of it is as a buyer.

Has anyone contact either seller to inform them of their errors?

Well I sent the Silver Penny person a message about it & here is what they replied with. "No I looked it up thank you"
That is sad. I'm afraid to ask where they looked it up.

Description sounds like a kid as does his response to packrat1.

I would have bought a whole roll from this guy but don't feel like driving all the way to Texas right now to pick them up.

Quote:This one is also a beauty: A bicentennial Ike dollar with a starting bid of £50.00!! Do you want ebay telling us what we're allowed to ask for our items?

Oh they do try though. When you list something there is a suggested starting &/or Buy It Now price. But no I don't think ebay should be the ones to set a price on an item. As for the Silver Penny Person I think ebay should step in on that one before someone is foolish enough to believe it. I know it's buyer beware & know what you're buying but this one is insane & they were told about the Penny & are still ignorant about it or is it stupid at this point?

I just hit the link and the coin is gone. Hope somebody didn't buy it. But was recommended to similar items and there is another one for $500 just in case you guys still wanted to buy one... Not listed as silver in the title but in the describing it is refereed to as the one and only silver penny. Too funny. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1943-Penny-...em4af5cbd8ff

Under the ebay generated "Item Specs" it says Certification: NGC. yet it's not. I swear these bozos just click buttons that they have no idea what it means.

Sorry, I keep posting about this but keep reading and laughing. I didn't realize he also said it was minted in Texas despite the D mint mark. Must stand for Dallas on this coin? Year: 1943 (accurate) Strike Type: Proof (nope) Mint: TEXAS (Wow, must be rare) Composition: Steel (Oh good, so it's not Silver?) Country: United States (accurate) Circulated/Circulated: Circulated (A Circulated Texas Proof?) Grade: MS65 (MS, and not Proof?) Certification: NGC (With no capsule?)

Looks like that second listing is gone too. I saw a few about a week ago that were selling way overpriced stuff. When you click on the item it takes you to some foolish add thing. Thanks, this is really entertaining!
