Nice coin Devlec. When did you and Mikey meet with this? Haven't seen him in a while.

I am...in love!
Nickels used to be my passion...until error coins came along and stole my heart. But now.....

As dollarman has stated... I haven't seen Mikey in person in quite a while. Hopefully at Coin Expo or the RCNA convention..

You are welcome Derek. Bill, miss our chats. My daughters were talking yesterday about how you and Denise gave the 22 far 5 cents (UNC) a coke bath at Expo! Good times.

Mikey .. my fingers never got close to that coin, but my shoulders are big enough to take some of the blame. Yes, I, too, miss our chats and walks from the hotel to the library.

HAS THE BAR BEEN SET? Amazing coin ! I now have a comparison to help me in my own quest for the elusive AU or better 1925 nickel. In the link Dollarman posted the scratches BEHIND? the D and A of Canada, occurred pre-stamp or ? ... Never seen that before. Thoughts?

Quote: they are die scratches ..Scratches on the die prep and then transferred to each coin struck. This is often found on SP coins and caused by the sometimes seen rough polishing process on SP coins. The raised lines are 'below or under' the letters. A very cool effect (for me anyway)..on many of my SP coins.

It is a little confusing for the first timer. I also like the effect. Thank you Dollarman and Devlec
