Thank you for the input! This is actually the only coin that was once holdered. B&M said it was once housed in an AU58 holder, and for some reason broke out. If this is true it used to be in either an NGC or PCGS 58 holder since those are the only slabs he ever has.

... and I thought it looked like it might stand a chance at MS

I can certainly see why you might have thought an MS grade was possible. A little sweetie. I'd be a tinge higher at 58.

AU53. The reverse either has a lot of wear or was weakly struck. Love these but they are the worst to grade

Back from ANACS today and is now in an AU-50 Details - Whizzed holder - OUCH! I don't see any signs of whizzing? Maybe it is just me.

Yup, same coin! I don't get it either...

The funny thing is the dealer I bought it from said it was cracked from an AU-58 holder years ago. Not sure why, unless he thought it would upgrade, but if so, then not sure why he did not upgrade. So it went from PCGS 58, to raw, to ANACS 50 details "whizzed" supposedly, lol.

Thanks guys ;)

I may have to resubmit if I can talk someone into sending it to PCGS with their batch for me, as I don't want to become a member for a few coins.

My photos don't even do the coin justice... the toning doesn't look as distracting and there is a lot of luster. Nice common little die clash too ;) I guess REALLY little ha. Thanks again.
