RE:Variety Vista "Now I wish I had copied the Variety Vista RDVs." I wish I had too. I tried to look up a coin at least a week ago and couldn't find the pages. I even tried archive.org but they only had the main pages. Could we all petition them (ncely) to put it back up?

RE the post:
I just learned last week about these various RDV's on the quarters. Prior to this when I looked at quarters I would just bypass the Eagles, but not anymore. You have a Really nice one. One of the other members had a nick name for them Wide "ES" which is an easy way for a me to try and spot them now, since I am no good at the other indicators yet.

Here is what I could snag off the website. I'm sure they will add it back in later on.

Thanks coop!

I got confirmation from Dr. Wiles. (Feb 23, 2016)

It is a 1969D Type H. (Proof Reverse) RDV-008. on a Business Strike Quarter.

Quote from DR. Wiles:

"The type B design was slightly enhanced (around the lower inner wing feathers) when it was put into use for the 1968 S Proof production. This enhancement makes it a Type H.

It was first thought that the design was Type B. But after careful study the differences were detected.
So all the clads are Type H, not Type B"

* The coin has been sent to ANACS for grading/attribution.
ANACS will attribute as RDV-008. ( Not PCGS or NGC )

I'll post pics when it's returned etc.*

There are different clads also not the same reverse. So I don't know of the Type 'H' is for all of them or not? They pulled the images, but I was able to resurrect the info. But they will probably bring it back later on.

Has anyone found a list of pics for all the 1969-d reverse varieties? I found one with the left leaf sticking above the arrow points but it has the close E and S.

Coop......the pics do not show anything with regard to the E/S separation but I have seen pics (incl the one at the start of this thread)where the E/S seem to have the same separation as the Type B coins. This one does not seem to. I have not had the chance to inspect it in person though, and sometimes pics can be deceiving.

The proof reverse has the devices that look so wide on the letters on entire coin. Take a look on the link.
