There are a few things you can do to narrow it down a little.
1. What is weight? 2. What is diameter? 3. Is it magnetic?
Knowing this at least should help.

That's a lot clearer, at least the first one. Thanks! You can also crop them to get rid of excess background. Now it's looking less like a Half Cent. Could it be ferrous? That looks kind of like rust.

Sorry it took me so long to reply dspeciner. Just tested it and yes the coin is magnetic. Is that good bad or indifferent?

Ok mr. Shampoo, based on the size and magnetic properties, I am quite sure that we can rule out any sort of US coinage. It might be made from nickel, but more likely steel. Sometimes when I squint at the pics , I think that I can make out details but other times I can't. At this point, my best guess is that it is an old rusted plug from an electrical box. Electricians push these out when they route wires into the boxes and sometimes they end up on the ground. There is a slight flattening on the rim at 12 o'clock on your latest pic and this might be from the remnant attachment of the metal. Sorry not to have a definitive answer.

Now that we know it's magnetic, I seriously doubt that it's a coin at all.

No clue on the coin, but what up with your name? "Mr.Shampoo"?

Thanks for the info dspenicer. I also squint and sometimes I can swear I see detail. A cross, the number 8, a "V", but alas nothing definitive. Numisna I'm also thinking it's not a coin at all. Thanks again all of you. Well I'm considering this mystery solved; no coin. On another note, I have about 60 1964 Kennedy's halves for sale if anyone's interested lol.

@mr_shampoo, once you get some more posts, you will be able to sell on CCF. This is to encourage you to lurk less and participate more. Thanks again for sharing this mystery "coin". Any other interesting stuff to share?

Ahh ok that makes sense. I'm not much of a collector yet. Its interesting and is like to have more but my finances limit me. Any coins I have I literally stumbled upon or licked into. My dad doesn't collect both over the years he's acquired some interesting coins. I'll try to post and share

There is a circular mark near the edge. Could this be a hole filled in with corrosion?
BTW try posting pic with this next to one of your Kennedy's if possible. This will give us a general size reference.
