Well the coins individually aren't worth much. Even at 500 of them, even if in BU condition would only be worth about $500 at $1 each(best case scenario). If they are circulated, then probably around $100 if someone was willing to pay .20 each. But still that is cool to have that many of them especially if it was given as a gift!

How are the coins inside? They are indeed generally considered "junk" but those with no metal deterioration are probably worth a bit more than $1 each. So few of them were stored properly, meaning that they will only get more valuable as more "explode" into dust.

Can you please post a photo of it?

I have seen photos of original mint bags and these often go for a fair bit.

The coins inside are great. However, I have tried to post pics., even following the directions with the free software, can't get it done. Any help? Also, I was given 50, 10 yen bills with the coins and items.

The piece of paper says "17.6.23". The 17 would be the year - 1942. The total value of the contents is/was 100 yen.

The coins themselves (or at least the two on which the date is visible in the last photo) seem to be from the same year.

Having that many, you can search for MS70s

Yes, all the coins are from the same year. I wasn't sure if the value would be more because it is all from the same load, original bag, etc., etc. BTW, all coins are in beautiful condition!

For some reason I was thinking you meant the 1944 tin-zinc 10 sen coins!

I have seen AU aluminum 10 sen coins go for about $2.50 each on ebay. Post this entire bag as a WWII artifact, and you could easily be looking at $750-1000+ from a WWII enthusiast.

Congrats!

Congratulations! You have a genuine mint bag with the coins and these DO NOT appear on the market very often! You even have the date of when this mint bag was packed.

No idea about the price but I believe it should go over a few hundred easily.
