Thanks for the pointers guys..will definitely read article & take note for future purchases. Might send it in to NGC or PCGS, I want to try these guys out & I like the idea of hard slabs for Nicer coins, no offence ICCS/CCCS.

I look at the base of the crown on the Obv. and the tips of the leaves on the Rev.. If there is no wear, I go to the rims and look for a nice "ripple" the whole circumference.
I agree with sel_691 that it is MS but also on the caution side with Alan as it has something different about it, almost a polished look. This may be just due to the pictures.

Nice coin.
From the pics, I'd say an ms63 with an outside chance of an ms64.
Polished 'no', but definitely dipped, but who cares, as most brilliant white coins of this age have been dipped a number of times.

nice looking coin, I would say ms 62, cleaned or dipped at some point, and I have concerned the rim looks a little soft.

Always thought about trying it but never did before this. Great for showing cartwheel I think.

Your illustration is hilarious! Great job! It certainly appears like the cartwheel effect although natural silver coins 100 or so years ago generally exhibit some level of toning. A dipped coin.....when the reference to "blast white" is used, that pretty much describes it, like a coin wearing a fake looking silver coat:-( Regardless, it's certainly not a cleaned coin and I do not see any wear. If the cost or effort of getting it stabbed is not prohibitive, I think you should go for it. The satisfaction of acquiring nice pieces and establishing their grade becomes a future measurement in gaining expertise (which I'm not there yet LOL!)

I'll guess MS-63PCGS/NGC if that's the route you take :)

I'll make a note to post the slabbed grade results when I get it back which probably won't be until end of summer but it's noted. I think it's very appropriate to post it here. Thanks all.

Is that ever cool! Good job on that! I'd say it's a totally acceptable ms62 for sure now. Is that ever a nice sharp strike too! That's really neat what you did!!

Thanks! Could have made it smoother with several more frames but it's a start. Maybe I'll do that for another coin.
