True, a good deal of wear should be expected on a coin that's been around for 130 years, even though most of its life was probably spent in a box with other loose coins.

LOL ... 'very worn' is reserved for PO01 and FR02 examples ... this coin does not get close to that level.

Thanks for the input. It didn't seem to rate a VF grade based on the grading guide I looked at; I'm glad to hear that it does.

I interpreted the description "feathers on eagle's breast worn" to mean that some feathers were still visible.
