Thats great..Thanks.
Basically my last coin from my Hindu kashmir series as you know is Sri Jaga Deva (1198-1213 AD)...And my earliest Sultanate coin is Zain al abdin (1413-1470 AD)...So I have this void of 200 years that I'm trying to bridge as best I can...I know of coins affiliated to Lakshmanadeva (1273-1286 AD) But this still leaves a big gap of about 127 years!..Any help will be really appreciated...Thanks again Paul.

Dear Paul, I have dug up some more info on what you wished to know. When king Sahadev was ruling, he gave refuge to a Tibetan refugee Rinchana and placed him on a key administrative post. Later, Sahadev had to flee following a revolt which Rinchana took advantage of. He converted to Islam, killed Ramachandra, the Chief of Army and married his daughter. He took the name Sadruddin and ruled Kashmir and was followed by his Queen Kotarani (daughter of Ramachandra). When Udayana, a brother of Sahadeva came from Tibet, she offered to marry him and he began his rule, but Kota rani was the de facto ruler. She was a very brave ruler and foiled many an attempt to subdue her Kingdom, but fell in 1343.AD to Shahmir, a Muslim religious preacher who killed her to establish continued Muslim rule in Kashmir. This is all I could gather now from available sources. Please continue searching data for the dates and further information. Thanks.

Thank you so much drnsreedhar really appreciated Here's a link that shows the chronological sequence you might find interesting, but alas it doesn't tell me if any coins exist from AD 1273-1413 Will keep searching and get back to you if I discover anything. Kind regards Paul https://www.searchkashmir.org/2016/...ings-of.html

Talk about loading stress onto your marriage relationships! Just imagine: more than one mother-in Law! You would have to be mad! (or a politician)

Dear Palouche, the first coin is Said Khan, K89, G&G. Second one is in the name of Sikandar shah, K72. The calligraphy is a bit crude and sort of cursive.

Thank you!....Thought there was something different...
I've been trying to collect as many of these Muslim rulers as possible to link to my Kashmir Hindu set and now realise just how difficult this is and really can appreciate the collection you've acquired..
And thanks for sharing....Paul

Just picked up these 2 coins.... Looking through your thread I´m reasonably sure the bottom coin is Ismail 1538-1540 AD The top coin I also think is the same ruler but not 100% due to the lack of detail. Whats your thoughts? Thanks in advance Paul.

Bump.....Anyone have an idea on the top coin?
The more I look at it the more I think its not Ismail...Leaning towards Haider but maybe thats just more wishful thinking....Thanks Paul

Dear Palouche, I tried my best to make out the name of the ruler from the first coin. But I feel now half certain that it is Ismail shah himself. (Because I could not properly read the ruler's name and since the worn out strokes give a general impression that it could mean Ismail). Thank you.

@drnsreedhar..Thanks for taking the time to look at this.... The 2 coins were bought from the same dealer so I'm pretty sure your correct on the Ismail id. Thanks again Paul
