Wow, that's very nice. I like the case! Any chance you could regale us with more pictures?

The downside to the case is the bulk...Far too large to fit in my safe.

Here is the only other photo I have handy

I've already tucked the set away, so getting more photos would be a bit of a pain in the rear for me, sorry!

I loved JFK halves as a kid, and I think I may love them more all these decades later!

Wow for 20% over spot price that is an amazing deal. Too bad for the local person selling it though, especially at $45 per coin! Great find!

The box is worth at least the 20% over you paid.

And those coins look nice.

Sorry for the original victim who overpaid for the set.

Yeah... if my math is correct that's over $1,500 for the set, retail. Yikes.

The seller told me he bought it at an auction. This is a good reminder for us collectors to divest our collections before we're unable to ensure our families get the appropriate gains from our investment! That is, unless we're leaving our collection to a family member(s).

If you got this set for 20% over melt, you got a really good deal. The 2012-S silver proof half is the key to the proof Kennedy half series and is worth about $150.

Perhaps it's worth me digging out the set from it's hiding spot and photographing the 2012 coin given it's the key date. I'll try and do so in the next few days and share the photo here.

Keep your eyes open for good deals everyone!

Photos of the entire set plus a close-up of the 2012 are below for those who care to see them:

Thankfully, the scratches are on the plastic coin case, not the 2012 coin.
