Kind of see what you are getting at, possibly a clashed die or a trick of the eye?

what in the heck are you using to get those pics with? is it a webcam or something? I can't make anything out in them to even tell you what we are supposed to be looking at

The pictures are from my son's eye-clops. It puts the image on the TV and I took a picture of the TV. Thats why they look like that. I had to crop the heck out of them to make them small enough to fit on the forum. The zoomed in area is a spot between 2 vertical columns (on the left and right sides of the pictures) at the base of the shield . The second picture I took upside down to get a different angle. Any-one familiar with Shield nickels knows the area I am talking about.

maybe you would do better using the camera to take a picture of the coin instead of the tv

I can take all the pictures you want but this forum can only except pictures from a 1/2 megapixel camera apparently.

Not sure who that was directed to but I was trying to be helpful and if it was aimed at me then you took my post completely wrong. Now for the moderator duties, We will not allow any personal attacks like you did in your post please refrain from doing it in the future

Edit: and as for the forum and pictures, maybe you can take some pictures and use a program to resize the photo so it is under the 100kb size (there are some free ones if you don't have one to do it) or you could always open a free account with a photo hosting site and then just post it here from there

Bryan, it did look kind of rude on the page--I know you didn't mean it that way, nor was the reaction justified, but your response was more critical than constructive.

I definitely didn't mean it to be rude in any way, as I said I was just trying to give some advice on what to try because taking a picture of the TV shows the lines in the TV and you can't really make out what you are looking at. So again if it was taken wrong I apologize but I just don't know how to word it any different to say what I was trying to say. I didn't say Hey those are horrible, are you using a flinstone camera where the bird pecks what he sees or anything like that and if I had I can understand where that would be a {c} answer but I was trying to help in telling him to maybe take a picture of the coin with the camera instead of using the eyeclops and taking a picture of the tv

Roach, you need to calm down and have some patience. Honestly, those photos are really bad. It would help if you could post a larger photo of the area rather than an extreme close up.

" Thanks for your help ! This forum is a complete waste of time with jerks like you on it!"

I don't know why you need to post this. I see no problems with anyone's responses. The only one that might cause some trouble with be arthrene's comment but even then I don't see nothing wrong with it. He didn't write it to be negative or anything, it was just some humor. With this humor he was trying to tell you that he can't see anything from that poor picture. Go on any other coin forum and post your question with those exact photos and you will get comments that are 1000% worse.

As to your question, I believe that this is in between the vertical lines of the shield right in the center. There are some Shield nickels that have had numbers punched in that area, so it might be possible. From what I know, I don't think a coin like yours exists. Your best bet would be to contact Howard at shieldnickels.net and he'll help you. Keep us informed with what you find.
