The fields and devices show lots of non-random scratches that indicate that the coin was abrasively cleaned with a brush. Because the scratches follow patterns, these aren't random bag-marks or marks from circulation. Coin still shows luster and was likely very attractive prior to the cleaning.

AU and someone wiped it with a cloth. Net grade XF-40 or so. Not a bad coin.

Looks cleaned AU-50 net XF-45. Still a nice coin.

AU-55 , I don't think the very fine surface issues is an indication of it being cleaned .

I think my flash is adding to what is actually there. Not saying that there are no scratches but to be honest I think at worst it has been wiped with a cloth.

There are scratches above "in God we Trust" but there is only 1 or 2 scratches more like bag damage on the face of the sun, though it looks like more from the photo.

on the reverse there are scratches between the eagles legs, below it's beak and above it's wings but not behind it's wings. To be honest it looks like someone "spot wiped" it.

But.... it will have a nice place in my collection.
