Sorry about the fact that I didn't respond in time... I had to go to bed so mom said I could reply tomorrow (which now is today) I was going to say I don't see any graffiti on it.

And thanks Buddy! I'm homeschooled (doing 9th grade math) and I have a lot of free time so I like to check out the forums.  Plus I just started high school geometry. (I just finished my highschool algebra book) and I don't mean to brag but... I'm also a very good reader because when I was 5 my grandad showed me a really nice phonics video with kids and singing and I just started reading like crazy! Plus he only had to show me something like that once and I "took off" and I read very fast (but not sloppily) for my age. And I also like to play tennis I've been playing it for 1 and 1/2 years. Brian, your abilities are no surprise to me. You write very well and have an intellectual curiosity that indicates intelligence.
I think you'll find that most numismatists are pretty smart. There's a lot to learn and only people who love to learn would take up this hobby.
I think I started to hoard old coins when I was about your age, but that was all I ever did. I didn't start to really learn about coins until I was in my late 50's. But, better late than never.

I like this thought, so count me in. Have Mom contact me, too, Brian. I have a son who's now in his thirties. He has no interest in coins. Along the way though, I've been able to encourage some other young collectors, and I'll gladly add you to the list, Brian.  |

Thanks for the complements. And my granddad homeschools me he was a math major and he was a teacher for a few years and he was a airline captain the rest of his life. Also my mom is very busy and my grandad takes care of me most of the time. (She works six days a week and a 10 hour shift) sometimes 12 hours. And she isn't really interested in coins... plus on her day off she works on her garden but she sees me when she can. (Usually she comes home at 6 sometimes 8 or 9) but thanks for the sugggestion! I have a lot of different textbooks that I purchased on ebay and there are a couple companies that sell textbooks for $4.95 shipping free! I think these companies are charity companies and another source for my books is Costco. I'm studying an anatomy book that I bought there for $12.49 a couple of other books I purchased on ebay are microbiology textbooks. So with my many books and my grandfather's help that I think I am pretty well situated. But if there's any other ideas that you have please let me know. Thanks for your kind support and help.
