XF-45. Not a bad looking coin. Perhaps lightly cleaned once in its life.

I'm with coin197. I have it between XF40 and 45. as for slabbing, thats a personal preference. personally I like to fill the slots in the album. I want to see the book full not a couple of empty holes. if you decide to go that route the only big concern would be the 09s vdb but you could always post it here for comments before you buy. mine is raw and thats the way it will stay, right with a its brothers in my album

Same way you are all I need is 09SVDB , which even I lower grade of VF is out of my reach, have the others which are less expensive. Besides which, my grandkids could care less about coins, they'd sell to the cash, unless you could guaranty the appreciation and sentiment, is better to build memories in the moment.

I collect for my satisfaction, take the little buggers fishing, hiking, hunting, shooting tin cans, that they'll remember, an object is tangible, subject to loss...what's upstairs is more resistant to that loss, been thinking a lot about that lately..

Nice looking 1909-s cent. To me the coin surfaces do not look 100% original, but I am junior to other opinions expressed.

Good luck - there are lots of nice 1909-s & 1931-s cents available. 1914-d & 1909-s vdb are more of a challenge.
