I agree. I'm not seeing a 65 here. I understand that the flaws of coin are more pronounced on prooflike surfaces but it's barely a 64.

NGC has it at 65.

MS-65 PL seems a little high. I was going to say it might make MS-64 PL.

Agree it was over graded by a point. It is hard to tell with pics if a coin is prooflike.

Obverse 63 PL, Rev 65 PL, net 64 PL.

Prooflike refers to the contrast between the fields and the devices, as well as to the reflectivity of the fields, ranging from "technically PL, barely" to "wow, look at that black/white contrast and those 16" mirrors." This one, to me, makes a full PL, but only just so.

IMO, I think they got the grade right, looks MS-65 to me.

How can call that Morgan dollar an MS-65 with all of those marks on Ms. Liberty's cheek? Please don't give in to "grade-flatiron."
