When I posted that I didn't know who was on, I had a good laugh when I did get on and saw you there.

What is the gallery? And why would it be pertinent to this website?
Edit: Yeah ok I got it. So everyone can show off their collections. Seems like a waste of disk space. I've never clicked on any ones gallery since I've been a member. The threads provide ample opportunity to show off coins.
If it were my site, I would get rid of the section entirely.

Here's a new one tonight, which is exactly what I suspect. Traffic jam. Quote: Coppermine critical error: Unable to connect to database !

It was really tough the past few days again. Got in ... uploaded and freeze several times in past couple days, back in a little while ago, locked up again so I paged back. I looked at the bottom and there I am. The one registered user and 20 other guests. I am almost positive that the Members Photo Gallery can only handle so much traffic. Then it freezes. Couldn't we give it more bandwidth or whatever it's called? We do have the option to make our albums visible to the public or members only or private. If I could have a wish, I would wish that the gallery was visible for logged in CCF members only. Who knows who is out there copying our images without any intention of joining the family? Well I got in and there were 1 registered member ( me ) and 19 guests and made my uploads a minute ago. Does one more make the difference?

This still remains a daily issue with me. I think it would work a heck of a lot better if it was defaulted to signed in members only or CCF members only. I am going to change my "who can see" options to just that. Now I went to change permissions, looked in FAQ and found these directions. Question: How can I modify and restrict users from viewing my albums? Quote: Answer: You should already be in "Admin Mode" Go to "Modify My Albums. On the "Update Album" bar, select the album that you want to modify. Here, you can change the name, description, thumbnail picture, restrict viewing and comment/rating permissions. Click "Update Album".
When I went in to modify my albums there is no longer a who can view drop down or choice. Has this changed? I can only add a password and hint and can only restrict comments and ratings. I cannot restrict viewing but I do recall that at one time I had restricted my Personal album to my own viewing only. I wonder if those images are now public? I still firmly believe that the general public outside of CCF, Google and the like have access to these images and they come up in search engines. This traffic I feel is prohibiting the regular members here who use these gallery albums from having uninterrupted access and frustrating interrupted upload and editing sessions.
