I'm in the AU camp, 58 possibly, but like Mike I see an MS no rub reverse but the four bottom stars on right just aren't right, doesn't appear to be rubs, too worn down, suspect weak strike(?) most likely a filled die.

The mintmark looks "odd" to me.

Jim, with a little adjusting of the contrast on your photo the luster will show better. I took the liberty of editing your photos. No doubt the coin is MS.

The coin has AU sharpness. My take is that the coin was cleaned with a fine abrasive, like baking soda. I would avoid this piece. The 1875-S Twenty Cent Piece is a common coin, even in Mint State.

The surfaces look questionable to me as well, so I'd venture AU Details.

I think ANACS was close on this one. Of course I was hoping for a little more. My pictures really didn't do the coin justice. I do appreciate all the comments.

I know it's strange, but I'd rather have a 58. The only way a mint state coin gets down to 60 is if it's really been through the mill.

I don't think that PCGS would grade this coin. The way NGC goes, it could be touch and go. The original mint surfaces have been impaired with an abrasive now matter how you try to view it.

Here is what a dipped white Twenty Cent Piece should look like.

@Bill, You cannot us photobuckit anymore. They are holding your pictures for ransom. Bobby posted about it a couple weeks ago. You can upload pictures directly to this site and leave out the degenerate middle man.
