The publication Canadian Coin News is selling the 2018 volume 1 71st edition for. $24.95 with a 15% discount for subscribers but if you live in the USA, shipping is $16+. Which is ridiculous to pay for a book that ships for almost as much as the book itself. I'll wait until Amazon has it. As of now, Amazon has only the 2017 editions 1 and 2. I tried calling Charlton Publishing But all I get is a voice message saying I'm on the phone or away from my desk, leave a message, etc. Nobody called me back here in Florida.

I was up at CA this morning and took a glance at the new 2018 Catalogue. For those wondering, there is no special section in the back. It stops at the test tokens section. I do like the new format though, find it easier to read. For me it would not be worth buying as everything I am interested in I can find in my other Charlton's. For someone without a Charlton, it would serve the purpose.

Note that the test token section was revamped a bit... some new varieties were added to the "front of the book". Several of us put in a lot of work on this edition, most of it at the 11th hour in a mad panic...

Roger ... What did you put in the book? What "varieties" got moved to the front?

The 1908 large cent with Large Legend over Small Legend was the most notable... (assuming the editor accepted it). I also worked on the revamping of the prices for the 1c coins...

Picked mine up at J&M last week for $20. A good price if you are in the area, cover price is $24.95. Haven't had time to look at it except for a quick glance, still has the same basic look and layout we are familiar with, best leave well enough alone, maybe I'll have time to peruse more closely in a month or so.

Chapters Indigo website is listing the 2019 volume 1 72nd edition available for pre-order.
Any info on what changed in this upcoming edition? And what is in the Varieties section at the back on the book?
Thanks!

Any info on what changed in this upcoming edition? And what is in the Varieties section at the back on the book? Thanks for the heads up DEVLC. Nice to see that after 5 years a new edition of chartered banknotes is being released. Hopefully we won't have to wait much past the end of August or November for the coin and paper money catalogs. Not likely we will know much of what's changed, added or removed unless announced in a press release.

I believe it will be printed in time for sale at the RCNA... Quote: And what is in the Varieties section at the back on the book? Why, yes I do... because I wrote it... but I'll keep that secret until it hits the press... Several CCF members are acknowledged in it...
