The coin lacks eye appeal, clearly. I say "details" because of possible environmental damage or botched cleaning attempts.

klrrde, do you already own this coin or are you looking to buy it? Do you have any background with it? As stated above, it is pretty beat with splotchy toning but it may have a neat history too.  |

This coin was found in an old town that was abandoned in 1952 and flooded. It was recovered after the dam had been emptied to repair a leak. It had been under water until just recently.
Thank you all for your honest opinion of the coin. I am not collector, just the guy that found it.

Also to my knowledge it has not been cleaned unless it happened 65 years ago, it is exactly as I found it.

I totally missed your update. What abandoned town was this? This Is a community of history buffs. We aren't going to let you get away without sharing the history of the town.  Edited by MikeF
