Doubleeagle59, if my valuation of this coin is something you'd like to discuss, please feel free to shoot me a PM and i'll happily answer any questions you may have! thanks optimist! @gidjit thanks for your vote of confidence in the appeal the coin has in hand! it has been difficult for me to prove that it is worthy of the grade through pictures alone. great seeing you today by the way! can't wait for next time!
Feel free to call me Will.

Are you able to post better photos, with something better than a cell phone?

sorry for the low quality images, SPP, I will try for better images when I have it back in hand (it is currently in the hands of a fellow member who I work with) although I don't have a proper set up for images or a good camera, I will try my absolute best to accommodate your request when possible!:)

Well done thedollarman! Simply stunning! The Charlton doesn't even have a price assigned to the MS-65 grade! Where did you get it out of curiosity?

When grading these, look closely at the sharpness of the pearls in the head band of the crown.
A bit hard to see these in the OP's pictures, so I will just accept the opinion of the TPGrader.

Quote: When grading these, look closely at the sharpness of the pearls in the head band of the crown. I respectively wholeheartedly disagree as it is my opinion that when ICCS grades an MS KGV coin, they don't give the beads or the pearls a second thought. I've seen ICCS EF and AU coins with the sharpest of pearls and then there are ICCS MS coins with pearls and beads that appear visually 'worn'. I've said this before and I'll say it again.... the secret of this business is not knowing how to grade, but it's knowing how ICCS grades.

ALL Australian pre decimal bronze and silver coins (half pennies, pennies threepences sixpences shillings and florins) used the identical Mackennal bust design 1911 until 1936.
