First, welcome to CCF! Second, never clean a coin as it damages the coin by removing the thin layer of patina on the coin. The value gets cut down to half if cleaned. Also please keep this to one topic and post the pictures here, not on a new topic since it would be breaking the rules (If you didn't read the rules before agreeing to sign up, I suggest you do so). I am not trying to come across as a jerk, just want to be aware of things.

 A hands on way to tell. Get a pre 1992 cent. Look at the Wide AM on it. Get a post 1993 cent and look at the close 'AM' on it.
