^ The fun part was the unsuspecting non-collector's reaction when I told him about that "odd looking dime" in the roll ; I think we were paying about $125 for circulated Indian Q.E.s at the time - I don't know how the 93-S landed in the $12/ea circ. dollar can but it was also gratifying to tell the elderly dealer about the find so he could write it up properly for sale ( his vision was poor in later years and he must've purchased it in a group across the counter - good ol' fella would have duly informed the seller otherwise )

I found this one today roll searching. It's an "S" and clad. Did they make an "S" in business strike? Was it a proof? It's not silver.

USSID18, that is one cool find! I wish I knew the answer to your question, but that looks to be a cool pocket piece, and nice wear for only 13 year old coin

Thanks two_tonevf35. It was an ender on one of the rolls. I didn't even know what it was, when I first saw it! I had to look it up in the RedBook.

Thanks MV! Okay so the 1995 Civil War Battlefields Half Dollars were issued in proof and uncirculated versions, both produced at the San Francisco Mint. But I can't tell if it was a proof or business strike.

P.S. Not that it really matters at this point.

Someone around here has gotta be dumping these things into circulation. This is the third one I've found in three months. I had to look this one up as well to see what is was!
