Is the entire edge smooth? Is it the correct diameter?

Yes seems to be the same size as other quarters I have. Its just the reverse that has no rim. The other side does. And the entire edge is smooth. Thank you for looking :)

Also I must admit I have searched for images like mine. I only found one, an Arizona quarter that looked similar. I'm not sure what this "error" would be called so its hard to find. I was kind of hoping someone would jump on and say something to the effect of " oh thats called this" then I would stop wonder what this was hahaha. Thanks for any info. I do collect coins but I have only one error coin. A 2005 Kansas quarter that says "In God we UST" which I see if fairly common now.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't think this is an error, but I don't know what it is and can't guess other than specifically sanding the rim down on the reverse for some reason.

That is why I asked about the size. A coin struck without a collar should be larger than normal.

If anything it's slightly smaller than the other quarters I have and feels like it weighs less. I will look into this further on Tuesday and I will post an update. Thank you

Smaller than normal would be that some metal was removed/altered. Weight? If light, then it is PSD.

Since the metal removed was from the reverse, and not the obverse, I would guess it was once in a display or coin holder like this one.

I'm surprised so few people have got that this is obviously not an error. PMD.

Sometimes asking question that lead to a conclusion is better than just saying " PMD". Note she mentioned that her coin was smaller and lighter. coop then closed the lesson. She learned and perhaps othersdid too.

I think I was confused by the closer pic and inverted things in my head. I see it now, and agree it probably had metal removed for encasement in some way. Quote:Sometimes asking question that lead to a conclusion is better than just saying " PMD".
