I'll have to look. Could be a scratch. Havent received it yet. Could be a mark in the plastic cover.

Very nice! I hope the scratch is only on the plastic.

I have to call it AU-58 . And that really looks like a scratch running down from his forehead to his chin .

I gotta go with the Bopper on this one, AU-58. I'd want better pictures to go any further.

AU-58 vs. MS-62 in this case is the difference between 150 bucks and 300 bucks.

Better pics needed. Looks high AU or low MS.

My camera isn't good but I will try when I get it. How much does a scratch take off the value? I paid closer to au50 prices according to the PCGS guide.

that's a shame. I wonder if you could take a sodering iron or something and smooth that out.

AU-58. Looks like a scratch, but hope it's a die crack or a mark on the plastic.

Ok, here are two MORE 1914-s Buffalo nickels. Both slabbed! Guess what the grade is. And say whether or not you think these are better than the first one (with scratch).

Note the "liberty" in the first one is kind of blurred out. Not just the camera angle, I don't think.

If you start a new topic, you will get more responses. Usually the "regulars" in the grading forum look at topics they have not replied to. Since most of the regulars have replied to this topic, they will be less likely to respond to it.
