The coin looks pretty good from the pictures. Not sure about MS65. Maybe it's a new "PCGS" which is a scam. Probably more like au58, which is in itself probably $500.

Quote: How could someone bid that much with no returns with only two small pictures? I think you know how this would end since you're asking Quote:
Is there some kind of e-bay guarantee if in fact it is a scam? Yes you'd get your money back. Pay with a CC through paypal and you're good if its a scam. Quote: Suppose someone wins with $500....doesn't make sense from the seller's point of view. A legit seller would cancel that and not eat a 10k loss.

Would they be allowed to cancel and just say the price wasn't good enough?

Quote: Would they be allowed to cancel and just say the price wasn't good enough? A seller can cancel a sale for any reason they want to, as they should be allowed to since buyers are allowed to back out of any purchase they want to before paying.

I suspect it is a hyjacked account.
Seller has done nothing but clothes the last year and suddenly jumps in to dealing in high dollar coins and stamps? Really?

look at the seller's sold listings. The seller sold two 1910 Double Eagles on back to back days with the same cert number. The 1910 Double Eagles look like fake coins and fake PCGS holders.
Everything about this listing screams scam.

Up to $1200. If you're covered as a buyer, why not take the chance.

Sellers should post all pertinent information to make a buyer feel comfortable and not ask questions after the sale. If you have a PCGS number, why not post it on the listing.

After doing some research and getting the PCGS grading number after the sale, there is another coin for sale on ebay with the same PCGS certification number. Now this sale has scam written all over it. The seller also is selling two gold coins on ebay. Buyer beware on this one.

Quote: What ever happened to ; if you bid on a coin and win, your obligated to pay up ? . Should be like that but that's never been ebay policy. All a seller can do is put a strike against the buyers account which in all honesty means nothing.
