I will never do that! Now I know How Mr Frog told me this is an impossible set to compete unless you are a glory boy that your parents left you a bunch of money!

Maybe he could help you upgrade a few of yours. Looks like he has some doubles and triples of the same date.

I have a total of three US Large Cents - the first one I bought in an antique shop (for $35), the second was my only online coin purchase so far (for $3 including shipping, but the condition was so terrible that it was barely worth it), and the third I got as a random gift from a CCF member who thought I should have more old US coins. I hadn't seen either of them in months, but at least (I think) I have photos of the first two (sadly I've misplaced the third during a period when I didn't have a good camera, and hadn't found it since). I do think that they're probably an interesting series to collect... for those who have more money (and/or find them more often - apparently online auctions help).

817, several hundred more in two other cigar boxes, one with 158 holed coins & the other with 338 culls. I consider these mostly clean, circulated, and undamaged coins. I used to buy lots of lots on ebay, before my wife shut me down. I even attempted a book set, but soon gave up. Standing Liberty quarters are my new obsession.

He has more than I've got. I think I only have something like 325.

Thanks for all the comments. I don't get to view them but once or twice a year. I was up visiting my father for fathers day, unfortunately he's 3 1/2 hours away. We keep all our coins locked up with dad, the man that got me started in coins some 48 years ago. It's hard to believe it's been that long ago.
