I'm thinking in that condition the premium would be pretty small, but others may feel differently.

Why don't you start a collection of RADAR notes and that could be your first acquisition.

If you collect strictly from circulation finds, it's a keeper for sure.

I would keep it unless I just really needed that $20.

Rough condition. I would spend it. Even in Gem condition, there are low premiums.

ok here it goes...I had 2 spinal surgeries last year.. during a very difficult recovery I watched the show Expedition unknown and one show in particular was The Secret the treasure hunt...a book was written over 30 years ago..the author buried 12 treasures and to find you have to match up a map(painting) to a verse in the book(only 2 have been found in 30 years)...the one that stood out for me was #9 because it was always thought to be in Canada...my search started when I asked the simple question why would he bury 11 in the usa and not the last one..well.. Its not in Canada..it is in the usa. and I have solved the puzzle the dig site is illustrated in the painting 3 times...and I have uncovered 3 things in the painting that no one has been able to figure out...we(my husband and I) went on vacation at the beginning of July..our first stop was to do research at the museum which was one of the clues on the map and in the verse...wonderful folks there helped me pin point the location..we talked to the owners ...it is very over grown in 30 years and gave me permission to go back in October to dig and are willing to help find it...I was within 50 feet of it...the owners of the property were amazed at all of the things I found and the research I had done...even showed them land markers in their backyard that was on the map...even since Ive gotten back home I have found more clues in the painting that tells me I'm exactly correct! the treasure it self is a box that holds a key that's to be mailed in for a jewel..in this case the jewel is an opal..fitting since I have to wait till the foliage dies off to locate the last marker...I DID IT! I solved a 30 year old Puzzle..and the one that was thought to be in Canada.. and was really a puzzle within a puzzle.. after my October trip I will share the rest of my findings and clues but I cant give up to much....CAnt wait till I can tell all! Thanks for the interest!

Wow, I'm really rooting for you, cachencoins, but I'll hold the congrats until the box is actually dug up.

I watched that episode about "The Secret." Josh Gates is great entertainment. We started watching him on Destination Truth. Of course, the episode you mentioned highly piqued my interest, but I have no idea where to find a legitimate copy of the original book! If you know, please do share.

It is similar to "Fenn's Treasure" (also an episode of Expedition Unknown).

Amazon is where I got my copy...also there are a few web pages that list all of the clues people have found thus far...which could help you. thesecret.pbworks.com hope that helps your quest!
No one has been to the site or the museum there with this info ever.. so I'm safe that NO ONE except those close to me knows and the owners..and a few of the nice folks at the museum also none of them know the exact spot except myself..just need to be able to get to it and that was not possible a few weeks ago...I will be digging it up in October..I even thought about writing the travel channel about the October dig..anyways..still very excited!!Good LUCK!
