Because they are silver,90% and 40% that ty88ty2 got for face value. If any are errors or varieties they are worth even more than face or silver value.Nice score. John1  |

Haha, Thanks everyone!  Yes, Amy, these are significant because they are made of silver as stated above. All half dollars, quarters, and dimes 1964 and older are made of 90% silver. All half dollars from 1965-1970 are 40% silver! |

Meow tried to find some in Las Vegas slot machines years ago. Never found a 90%er, but found some 40%ers. It Was a very scarce find. Maybe one 40%er in 2000 coins. So Meow was more interested in that instead of the game itself. Ohooooo, and getting Silver strikes was always fun.
