I think you are right! I think I over looked it cause that one looks a little banged up on the FG on CCs. But the doubling on cent looks the same too. The only thing you can really see the doubling in, is the FG to be honest. Its not split looking like the one on wexlers.. lol

Thanks John :)

It does look doubled but I'd like to see more pics of the letters in AMERICA, it should also show slight notching (mostly on the R and the second A) if it is a doubled die.

That's stinks Bate. At least now you know to look for these though. We've all made mistakes. Nobody is perfect.

I agree the doubling looks right. The best way to confirm if you're right is if you compare the mintmark location. 1DR-003 has a very unusual mintmark location, if you coin has that, it has to be 1DR-003.

Looks normal from what I can see. The top of the FG on the G looks like it took a hit. The FG looks wider, but it might be a Struck Through Grease issue. What is enlarged?

No Coop. I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that this issue was caused by a Doubled Die.

I kind of agree with coop. If it was in a little better shape I could see but this one looks like it's pretty worn and a late die state as well. You can see in the top of AMERICA. The letters in e pluribus are also flattened and look fatter. Plus these coins are notorious for over polishing. I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look like the other stuff matches either.

Sadly, and embarrassingly I will have to agree with you coop...
:(
There really is no other devices like I said before that look doubled/thick/split.
And, the closest thing that it possibly could match, the mint mark location isn't even close to matching up with coppercoins-003...
I am sorry guys...
If anything I learned something with this one! That there are doubled dies on the designer initials for this year, and don't always jump and say its a doubled die especially when you have nothing to match it with..
Ill have to roll with the punches on this one! I am glad though, I don't want to one day sell this and sell something that's not what the title says.. Its my goal to have 100% feedback! So its GREATLY appreciated, even though you didn't say what I wanted you to say.
Thank you guys! And sorry E&V/Bates/tanman/john for this one! :(

You don't have to apologize. That's how we learn. I def see how you came to your first conclusion. It looks doubled for sure. A couple months ago I would have been in the other camp. Through my own mistakes and false alarms ive learned you have to look at the picture as a whole as well. It not easy with some of these especially when you have to consider diff mints, die states, circulation wear and tear, etc. I didn't even known about this particular DD so it helped me learn something new.
