This is real. It is not fake or counterfeit. It is rare, very valuable, but obscure and unknown to the public.

The 1794 and 1795 Flowing Hair silver dollars are more known. Little is known about the 1796 one. The Draped Bust silver dollar began in 1796 or 1797 so they may be some overlap in mint years.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, 1796 flowing hair dollars do not exist. The coin in this thread is a fake plain and simple. Please do not spread false information.

But it says on Wikipedia (so it has to be true) flowing hair dollars were made from 1794-96.
