Thank you so much Coop! Now we can use this image for future reference, if someone else has a plastic coin.

LOL. Anyway, I have a few of these myself. Mine weren't found in circulation, though. An interesting find.

I do not think that meowthekitty's cent is fake. I think it is a genuine Memorial cent that someone decided to carve into.

@longtrend, first welcome to CCF. Second, best practice is to start your own thread when posting a new coin. That way we are more easily able to find it using the search function. Certainly not a big deal, but maybe just for your future posts. In any case, I agree with E&V that your cent is damaged (not a Cud). Undamaged, it would have a modest premium over face value, but with this amount of damage it probably isn't worth much more than a few cents.

It is a coin from a set that is used in the lower grades of school/preschool to teach counting and money or they did at one time. A toy coin even if it doesn't have copy on it. I have gotten a copy of the nickles in a roll.

Quote: Meow is a Tom......... Are Meow's family members responsible pet owners who have had him neutered? It may reduce his urge to mark his territory and speak in the third person.

Meow found another one of these CRH yesterday. Now that's 2 cents Meow's bank has cheated out Meow of. But Meow is still ahead, Meow has received at least 5 dimes in customer rolled penny rolls in the past.

Usually play sets have five or ten of each coin, so you probably have a ways to go.
All: Beware, Meow is trying to corner the market and will then charge a Cat's ransom to sell them off!
