I don't see anything either.

The 1970 struck on a 1941 Canadian quarter was not only a proof strike (meaning it was not issued for circulation and therefore would not have been found in change, bank rolls, or mint bags) but a UNIQUE coin. There will not be another identical coin out there. Even if there was another 1970 Proof quarter that was struck on a 1941 Canadian quarter (Unlikely considering this is the only US coin struck on a Canadian coin to my knowledge), the chances the date 1941 would be in the exact place as the known example is ASTRONOMICAL. The Canadian coin would have to be the right side up in the striking chamber AND be rotated in an exact way for the AMERICA to be struck onto the date.

Stop looking for 1941 under AMERICA. Even if there was another one out there (There's not) the date would not be in the same exact spot.

Ok thanks for posting pics. I gotta agree with @SW and @TM2001 though. It looks to me like there is some slight damage to the surface of the coin after the last A of AMERICA. It looks vaguely like a cursive capital E to me, but that is just Pareidolia.

IT'S a damaged coin, period. There's no possible way that it happened at the U.S. Mint. You have a normal circulated 1970 Quarter that's worth face value. That's the end of the story.

It also only happened on a Proof coin, not a Business Strike.

*** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. ***

None of us are seeing an extra letter here.

What letter is it and where is it? Can you circle or trace this letter? All we see is damage to the CA in AMERICA.

Someone in the mint smuggled in a Canadian quarter and struck it. It is not a regular thing that happens.

Ok now I tryed my best to shade it on the coin taking different pics and what not, if you hold this coin you will see that's a letter "A" , it's not from wear or damage, it in the metal it looks just like the letter "A" next to it, yes I know somethings plays tricks on your mind ,but not this one, when you look at this coin and see it And look at both of the "A's" you will see they look just alike.

It's NOT an error coin at all. It's PMD (post mint damage).

This thread isn't going anywhere at all. We've already told you what it actually is, and you refuse to accept our answers. This thread is just completely pointless now. I'll just move on and forget about this thread. It's Post Strike Damage, and not an error coin. That's the end of the story, period.
