Very, very nice find and congratulations! This is a big deal, since these are so hard to find! You got the real deal! I remember finding one in circulation in May of 2017. I found mine in a circulated bankroll, from a brick box of U.S. Pennies. http://goccf.com/t/307650&whichpage=1
Errers and Varietys.

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.

I found it going through a combination of rolls from my bank and jars of penny's a couple of people. In the future I should keep bank & other coins separate so I know specifically where any "finds" originated. My first real "variety"!!

Would an acetone bath help with the black specs?

Also, any thoughts on what the coins grade might be?

Thanks for all your replies!!

Acetone will not remove carbon spots but it won't hurt the coin either. Give it a bath and put it in an Ait-Tite holder. Great find.

The off color tiny spots are probably sneeze droplets.
