Hmm...I can't really decide which was my favorite, but here were my interesting finds from circulation:

1964 Dime & 1963 Quarter (both were in my pocket change in highschool)
1935 Merc Dime (found it in a roll of pennies)
1964 Dime (found it in a roll of pennies)
1990 brass LCM (cool looking yellow coin)
1917 Buffalo (date is barely readable, but it's there!)
and, if it turns out to be authentic...a 1970 S DDO!

My favorite is a 1923 Mercury dime that a customer gave to me during a transation. I like it the best out of all my coins.

I would have to say the most valubale was an 1883 with cents V Nickel that I pulled from a roll in ~AU50. The oldest would be a 1842 large cent from a coin machine. And the rarest would be a 1950 proof nickel that I pulled from a roll.

probably the 1903 Barber half I saw sitting in a tellers tray once at the bank. He gave it up without question. Love the older half dollars.

I found a roll of silver quarter from a bank. Also, in 2003 or so me and my friend found rolls of nickels and half of every roll were Buffalo nickels!! Also found a 1981-P Susan B. Oldest coin is a 1904 Indian Head penny and some Walker's/Franklin's from roll searching.

Hello to all. These are some great finds.
I made a pretty good find myself tonight. Someone bought a CD at my register in electronics, so as I was putting away the coins they gave me, I noticed one was a Wheat penny. I saw the reverse first, so I thought "cool, a Wheat penny," but as I looked at the obverse side, I found to my amazement it was a 1909! I have a 1909 no VDB already that I bought, so I looked at the back, and sure enough it was a 1909 VBD. It's in excellent condition too; the cheekbone is just barely worn, and it still has a lot of shine to it on both sides. It's in much better condition than most of my newest wheat pennies.
Well, that's my new best find. Good luck to everyone.

here are 2 coins tied for my favorite circulation find. The first would be a 1943 Italian 20 cent coin in GEM BU (and I mean GEM!). THe other is a 1977D cent that has a masonic compass counterstruck into the obverse.
Here is a pic of the latter:

Let's see....cents; I've found two 09 VDB's, a 24d, an 84 DDO, a 95 DDO and a 1999 Wide AM (those last two I found last week on consecutive days). Nickels; the oldest was a 1901, a 38d Buffalo in EF, countless warnickels. Dimes; not much; I never look! Quarters; a long time ago found a dateless Standing Liberty, but that was about 20 years ago. Halves; a 1902o and a 1912d both in bank rolls.

My favorite would be a steel cent that I found in a coin roll. A red 1959 cent and a 1911 cent are tied for 2nd.

Not exactly in circulation, but I found a 21p merc in a roll of silver. The same weekend, I got a 21 Peace for $5 at an auction where commons were going for $4-4.50, normally $3.50 retail. Everyone thought it was just another 21.

One day in the sixties I opened a roll of nickels that had 25 warnix and a few Buffalos. Even then, warnix were worth a substantial premium, and had been pulled for years. Sorta like finding 40% halves today.

Prolly pulled a couple 28P Peace dollars over the years. They're relatively common around here.

By the way, welcome to the forum hollyj88. I'm fairly new to it as well, but everyone here has helped me a lot and answered all my questions.
