If the Small Date Dever Cent doesn't weight 3.1 grams, then it's not rare.
Errers and Varietys.

Well, yeah - I guess seeing only one 82-D SD has been found so far would indeed make it rare!

Just an 82. I'm assuming the 82D is the rare one?

82-D copper Small date is the rare one as only ONE has ever been found. ALL others are pretty common. That's it.

Thanks Condor101 Looks like an earlier die state, so there maybe many more out there, or just this one? Now if we could just locate a a zinc cent with the same mint mark location and markers that match. Then we would have another piece of the puzzle. If the zinc die is an older die state, then it may have been a copper planchet still in the machine before the run of the zinc cents started?
