FRBN saw limited circulation in 1933 but much of the remaining stock was issued during WWII in order to lessen the load on the BEP.
Peter Huntoon and others have been trying to determine what banks and serial number ranges were 1933 issues and what were 1942-43 issues. So far that information remains elusive.

Thanks everyone. There are some fantastic rarities among the small FRBN stars from all denominations. Yes, I'll send it to PMG eventually. Highest graded is a 45, I believe. Makes you chuckle when you see the BNR list it at $4.7K in gem 65.

Frog you really have some "quality" currency.

Quote: Frog you really have some "quality" currency. I agree with that. I have quite a few 1929 stars, but none from Minneapolis -- they are both elusive and relatively expensive. A lot of notes from the other districts (especially New York and Philadelphia) seem to have come out of the woodwork in the last few years.

This is the best one among my $10 FRBNs. Common as a regular issue (3.15 Million print run), but really tough with only 12K stars issued and (last time I checked some time back) just 16 known. I'd grade this maybe VF-30 with original paper, again among the best known.

If you are collecting the series, send me a PM if you have a want list, since I have some duplicates.
