xf40 details scratched. I think it is sharper than vf but I don't like the two scratches over the shoulder and the one to the right of liberty's knee in the right obverse field.

I like a 40 grade .... I would forgive the scratches.

It looks like a 25 but also looks like it was poorly struck up so if they took that into account it could go as high as 40.

Better date, I'd put it VF30.

I'd give it a VF-30. I'd say the head looks a little bit weak struck. Overall nice coin!

Here is the grade, I had to post the picture otherwise no one would have believed me! It is a nice looking coin just not an XF45. I would give it a VF30.

this is why I find it hard to collect these series, so many over graded, straight graded problem coins that flood the market.

Gradeflation has ized coin grading so much it is ridiculous.

This coin does appear to have been weakly struck off the dies and as such the actual wear might be less than is indicated by the devices. So...I could see going VF35 if generous.

The submitter must have been blown away when they saw the grade on this one because the value doubles from VF25 to XF45.

This coin was being sold by APMEX and the pricing was around an AU50 price range. I cannot tell if it sold or if the listing was cancelled but it is not available anymore.

From what I know of APMEX that's not surprising.

wow just wow. The reverse might be weakly struck in some places but that doesn't excuse the rub in other places. And it certainly doesn't excuse the obvious rub on the obverse.
