That is not an 1868 and looks to me to be an 1866. The 8's and 0's are wider than the 6's on the top half. I think you will be able to see it when you get the coin in hand.

I agree, it should be easier to see in hand if you play with light and a scope. No motto, Pre 1867, I'm leaning towards 1860 based on the curve of the top of the last digit.

How about 1862 or 1863? Both would have curved tops to the last digit.
