I wonder what people would think if the value was $666.00 or $666,000.00 or, well you get it.

If it bothers you, then do not collect them. Not everyone, even Christians, feel the same way about the number.

Actually if the number 6666666 is on the Devil's face notes, the notes may have a premium.

It is just a coincidence, not a "devil" note. It is just the bill numbered after 665 and before 667.

Probably numbers do not reduce the value , but the other way , you can have an increase in value with some numbers like 8 , for Chinese poeple 8 is a lucky number, than more persons want solid 8.

Just turn it upside down... then think of it as Wayne Gretzky's money...

You mean like this? http://goccf.com/t/318764But back to the OP: I don't think most collectors care what number it is- except the solid 8 do go for a little more (as "Regent" has posted) I cannot (for the life of me) figure out why 9999999 (being the highest possible number) doesn't sell for a premium...(& no they don't make 10,000,000 notes anymore!)

Quote: Because the number 666 is devil's number in Christian community. Is it right? That's why people don't like number such as 666 -not "bad" just a waste of time. First go for condition, then for scarcity (like change-overs, special numbers, errors, etc.) Get to know what you like. I have been watching a few blogs on Youtube & found one from the US who was searching 100 $1.00 notes for "star notes & fancy numbers." He separated a regular crumpled (well circulated) note with three sixes in the serial number stating that this was a "devil's serial number" or something like that. In another video he saw a number that was similar to "96540312" and called it a "broken ladder." I cannot recall the other made up terms (I"ve never heard used before) but the blogger spoke like one of those K-tel special offers slick snake oil salesmen. Some of it was tongue in cheek perhaps- but I really got the impression that his goal was to get you to "like" & subscribe to his channel (& impress people they can find valuable notes out of circulation). He had no idea how many replacement stars (3 he found) were printed (likely had no catalogue) & the 2 radars he showed he bought. Also, he started estimating what some of his heavily circulated star replacements would sell for on ebay (fairly sky high estimates IMO) All in all, quite a misleading blog, but fun to watch (unfortunately!) So, bottom line: inform yourself. Be skeptical and join forums like CCF (keep those questions coming)! ' ')
