I don't think so, mintmarks both look normal for VLDS dies.

No RPM. The mintmark just shows Die Deterioration Doubling.

Also,I do not think that is a die crack. I think it is part of the DDD issue.

Great images. The dies are showing very strong VLDS and strong Machine Doubling. Note image #4. The Machine Doubling is showing sever metal movement on the face Eye, corner of cheek. So I feel the MD caused the metal movement on that edge of the jaw. I'd save it to compare with other examples you might find later on to see if this is the case. (sorry I'm the type who like confirmation with more examples) Image #12 looks like the same event on that coin also. At first I thought it was an image of the same coin, but looking at both, I realized it was a different coin. I've never seen a die crack on that area on a nickel ever.

You might compare mint mark locations? If they are different, then the coins are probably not from the same roll. The die states seem to be a bit to different on the mint mark areas and the bust areas. That is what I would do. Make side by sides of the mint mark areas.

The mint marks are in different locations, so they are not from the same dies. Neither are RPM. One is showing MD on left side and die wear on the right side.

Cookiemonster, these are not Die Cracks. These are what we call Die Cracks. Die Cracks are supposed to be raised above the surfaces slightly. http://cuds-on-coins.com/udc-5c/
Errers and Varietys.
