Wonderful note Susuman.

Appears to be a classic three fold XF with original paper.....and it has provenance.
Alexander Hamilton together with Victory holding a sword and shield. Very nice note.

Exceptional note with great margins. The Elliott/White signature combination was the last issued in the long history of this design, and surviving examples outnumber earlier versions by at least 6 to 1.

I finally got some of my large notes graded. This note was given to my mother by my grandfather in 1949 as a rainy day fund.
Excellent!

probably evidence of very light pressing (that's a usual excuse, anyway)

Lincolnsc - Must disagree - PMG does not give the EPQ rating to a pressed note. The 40 rating simply represents an opinion on the wear of the note - they consider it original and EF but not choice EF.

I don't think that there is any evidence that any of the notes I have were ever pressed. All of them were housed in a single small album that had mylar-like pages just large enough to hold a single large note. That small folder sat in a safe for over 60 years. The only pressing it could have had was if there was another album on top. I can't guarantee anything before 1949. However, if the coins are any indication, my grandfather did not doctor anything - nothing dipped and probably less than 10 from the old part of the collection (1000+ coins) show evidence of cleaning. Most of the few that do are labeled as such (one of the few cleaned examples is a Trade dollar I posted in another thread 1-2 months ago).

I will probably send some more notes in fairly soon.

Careful there. That is one that is obviously pressed. Way back when, I lightly pressed a few notes and got them in EPQ holders. Just saying.

jimbucks - Wait, you say you are not referring to the OP's note, even though you said in your prior post that it was obviously pressed?

NO! I was saying that notes might be graded EPQ if they are lightly pressed. This comment is not meant to refer to the OP's note, but just a general statement. The note posted by the OP looks very nice.
