Clean, even trench with rounded ends and no metal displacement. All points to a Struck thru, most likely a wire.Nice find.

I wanted to say no also for the same question on the '9', because the '9' looked like the '9' is pushed aside. But thinking a bit more about it. The wire/bristle struck with the die looks like it, bent on the top area above the date. But it has and allowed the metal to form around the that struck through. So I'm leaning more towards a struck error now.

Thank you Chase007 and Coop for your input! That's what I thought, since there's no displaced/pushed metal in the area in question.

Thank you fortcollins! This would be the first time I've seen a Struck Through error that affected the digit of the date.

I seem to detect a pressure ridge. But then again, it might be a photographic/visual illusion. But pending examination under a microscope, I would leave this coin in the suspense account.
