Your 8th and 9th photos show a somewhat sharp inside edge to the rim. I bet if the muck were cleaned out in that area you might seethe separation line there

Yep, I bought a magiacian quarter for 50 cents just to put in my educational collection. Just interesting the lengths people go to in order to trick someone.

In my last box of quarters, I found a 2-tailed quarter. When I dropped it on the table, I could hear a "hollow" ping and the weight was 5.2g...So try the drop test, and listen for a different ping vs a normal cent

Can we get a shot of the coin angled in front of a mirror? That way we can see both sides of the coin in single photo..I think your pulling our leg....

I don't think OP is pulling our leg, that'd be EXTREMELY lame.

I don't know if something like this could be a genuine mint error. I feel like the chances of this being a legit error are HIGHLY unlikely. I'm leaning towards a magician coin, though I don't see the reason to make it a different date. Would make better sense if it was the same date

The weight of 2.7 grams tells the tale to me. There is not enough wear on the rims or the devises to be that light. Two Cents were separated and the heads were put together.

Look at the outside of the rim , there appears to be a seam there as if a very thin band of copper was applied

On the third image you can see the seam on the reflected mirror image. Top of the coin. The light shows the seam.

You can also see a very obvious seam in the close ups.
