I wish I could get a better picture. But it seems like there is a bit for me to learn about taking pictures of small things. Thanks Spence.

The light your using is adding glare. So you might diffuse the light a bit to reduce the glare and the light source. Not sure what you are using for a light. An image of your setup might help a bit more with suggestions.

Coop, no set up. Just a flashlight, 40x Loupe, and my phone camera. Here's about the best I could get without a glare. Thanks

I'm really wondering if indeed you do have D/horizontal D. The side by side photos seem very similar except for the amount of wear. The zoom on your pic was different so it appears the mintmark is positioned differently, but is it really? It certainly looks like something is under the D, and from what I can see, it looks more like the horizontal D than the other two RPMs known for the year. Not saying take my word for it, but I hope some others will give their opinions as well, because I'd like to hear them too. But I am hopeful for you that it's D/horiz D.

Ok here is the best I can do with your new pic (which was much clearer--thx). I'm not convinced that this is an RPM, but consider reaching out to varietyvista to have them weigh in on what you have.

http://varietyvista.com said it looks like it is indeed a d/horz d.

Mr. Wiles offered to attribute it for me. So it looks like I'll be sending it off. Thanks guys!!
