Wow. You're absolutely wrong. Yes you guy who's been on here forever. You also make it very difficult to be nice to you when there's obviously something there. Just because you can't tell heads from tails as far as what's on this coin doesn't mean there's nothing there. Don't hide ignorance behind false pride. It's ugly.

I agree with Pareidolia, not a mint error or anything significant. MonopolyMoney, I'm sorry some members are coming off as offensive to you, but you may want to consider what they have to say as most of them have been doing this for quite a while.

Anytime. People probably look up to you on here. I don't care for you personally but the amount of posts you have shared says you have experience. Your opinion should be valued and well thought instead of making someone else feel dumb or frustrated because you have no idea what you're actually looking at. If you tell someone their just making things up in their head when it's clearly something else you could very well just ruin any experience they have on this site. Especially someone who just created an account. I'm not trying to be a jerk or make problems with anyone because I just got on here myself but, I also won't let whatever all that was be considered an answer either.
You're welcome for yet another thoughtful answer

Just because someone has been doing something for a long time doesn't always mean they're good at it. Not saying the frog guy isn't because he probably is. Just not helpful

I think everyone one here is just trying to be helpful. We're not going to say there's something on this coin that isn't there, and its a common thing that can happen with newer collectors, so we are just trying to point people in the right direction.

Being a new collector has nothing to do with you guys being condescending to further inflate your online egos. It's actually quite pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourselves. The more you defend this sad adolescence the more others reading this will begin notice how vague and simple you and your buddy really are. That is when you're not being pretentious because so far I have yet to see sign of any intellect within the previous responses by either one of you. Have you ever met a kid who was held back in school and thought hmmm? He must be a good third grader because he's been here a while! Didn't think so! Of course some things had to stick so I'll give you enough credit to say you're not completely dim but come on man. Pareidolia? Seriously? That's just lazy if your not blind. I'm done here. Say whatever empty response makes you feel like you still have your nuts.

I believe everybody's being very polite on here. We're giving our OPINIONS on the coin. The OP can feel free to send the coin to a grader and see what the experts have to say about it in hand. Like I said, we are trying to help other members out and create a friendly and respectful community on here.

No worries. I understand it can look that way at first on here, but most of the longtime members, like CoinFrog, are extremely knowledgeable on things like this and a generally the best at determining what's going on with these coins.

Sure you are. I'm here calling you on your BS. I've read plenty of sideways comments on here written just right to make yourselves feel smart while insulting the next guy. Some of you are pretty good at preventing a real response without them looking like the bad guy. I know people quite well and see right through all of it so don't lie to yourself because you're not fooling anyone else there smart guy. You're just not use to someone reminding you how ridiculous you are for spending hours trolling until you find someone to tell they don't have anything. How many knowledgeable responses have you actually provided? Or do you just piggy back on the "respected" members who have no respect for others? Please note however that I have read numerouse informative and respectful responses by the majority of members on this site and have a lot of respect for them and everyone else. Except for rude people. It's that simple. The difference between you and me is that I'm the same guy regardless of being online or right in front of you. I get it though. They're probably your buddies but your buddies suck so check them instead of trying to correct the guy who told them to quick being punks because they were being punks. Trying to make me look like I'm overreacting is not going to change the fact that you're buddies are not cool kids because their seniors. They've just been held back and are bitter now.
Can you just deal with yourselves now so I don't have to explain in even more repetitive detail how lacking some folks are of any real substance or consideration pertaining to subject matters that are misunderstood or beyond their mental capacity? I really hope so because I've been needing to post something and this is just annoying.

Djrob I can clearly see the outline of the second face to the right in the very first picture although it is hard to see with the pixelation but I do agree it is there. I thought you were seeing things as well until you drew an outline and then I went back up to your first photo and I did clearly see it....

MonopolyMoneY, I'm not "buddies" with anybody on here. I just come on here to enjoy the hobby and try to help others to the best of MY ability. I personally don't see anything but circulation in the coin, and if you disagree that's completely fine. We're all entitled to our opinions and no one is trying to say otherwise. I don't see anywhere where I or anyone's said anything disrespectful, but I really am sorry if any of it came off that way. Happy hunting

If Djrob feels he's found something significant, he's encouraged to go outside the CCF forum and seek other evaluations and opinions--like taking the nickel in to a reputable coin shop or two, and/or seeking other experts in US modern coins. Try reaching out to editors at Coin World or Numismatic News for other ideas. Sending the nickel to PCGS, NGC, or ANACS for evaluation/certification is an option as well. Would be very cool if he really has something very, very unique--would be a boost to the entire numismatic community.

Keep in mind the cheek bone area is slightly higher and through years of circulation that area will change shape somewhat. I believe you when you say you are seeing something but in this case it is just circulation wear.

You can send your coin to professionals to grade it for you rather than argue with people about it. Believe it or not monopoly these guys know their stuff. Look back at my posts, they were as silly as this one when I was a new member.
