Sweet find indeed. I wonder if one of our experts can talk about the seemingly two-level nature of this Cud. Is it just the result of separate flakes of the die coming off and the struck copper filling in them both? "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

Awesome find! I have found quite a few Cuds, but not recently though. Errers and Varietys.

I noticed that smaller "tsunami" of metal also.
I'm definitely no expert but the smaller "wave" would have been where the broken die wasn't as deep. It probably topped out on the metal of the die. Whereas the top of the larger area wasn't contained at all and looks to be slightly rounded. I can picture one of Coops images of the broken die he posted recently.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
