For the book value, go the NGC world coin price guide.

However, my LCS would tend to price this at melt value, as there is no local demand to justify the slight premium for this year.

Perfect yes.

You do need to keep your fingerprints off the coin. Hold it by the rims only.

I don't know the significance of EB.

According to krause, the mintmaster's initials EB appeared on coins from 1906-1913, while FZ appeared 1899-1901. I do not know how important this is.

I think @oriole missed seeing there is also Eb for 1899 in Krause/NGC.

So front and back thirdy coin look good and initials 3b looks geniue?
Btw do you know why 3b initials appeared on coins from 1906-13 but 3b initials also in 1899 coins and this is not a mistake?
