I will be there on Friday. I have to work Saturday night or I'd be there Saturday as well. I've been attending this show ever since it began.

With most people in the hobby ( not all ) , older, you need your head read to even think of attending any larger indoor Event right now , let alone a coin show . Stay home or enjoy the great outdoors , or your garden . Much safer to enjoy our great hobby online right now.

Personally I really think more time should be given before coins shows start up, obviously the key reason being the older folk, but tbh, I'm only 18 and I still don't think I would risk going, not just for fear of spreading the disease, but even catching it as a young adult can be deadly. For those who are attending, please take all appropriate precautions and safety steps to avoid any illnesses being spread. And to anyone going I also implore you consider bringing a video camera because I can almost guarantee that there will be a couple of irate "I don't have to wear a mask, it goes against my freedom!!11!!" Freak out Incidences.

There's so many great alternatives online, like the CCF, the ANA eLearning Academy, and the Newman Numismatic Portal. And some good old fashioned time spent enjoying our collections.

Ebay. Do not underestimate it, even if you are just window shopping.

@Numis, it is good to hear the observations of a member of a younger generation on the current state of affairs.
As a member of the nearly-on-medicare generation, we are being pretty cautious, especially as we are in a warm to hot zone. So no coin shows, no discretionary shopping/entertainment of any kind that will expose us to crowds.
ANd yes, thankfully, there are lots of "contactless" venues for our hobby.

Show floor was larger than normal, tables were well spaced out and attendance was light. I doubt there were 50 dealers there. Everyone was required to wear masks and they had several hand sanitizer stations around the floor.
I got there about 10:30 started wandering the floor visiting with several of the dealers I have known for some time. Stopped by Steve Ellsworth's table, paid him $2k on my account. Meanwhile my father purchased a half dozen Chinese cash (he collects those all the way back, by Hartell numbers), and scoured the floor looking for foreign currency. No one had any so by 12:30 he was done and ready to go. I'd covered about half the floor by then and rather than make him wait around while I finished we went ahead and left. Probably a good thing because if I had stayed around I probably would have gone further into debt with Steve. He had a beautiful MS-63 1817 N-14 large cent, and an AU-55 1846 cent with the perfect surfaces and color that I like. If I had stayed around I'm sure eventually I would have broken down and bought them. I almost never never find anything at shows anymore, but if Steve is there I'm in trouble. He had just purchased a major high end late date set with many condition census coins in it. Was quite a sight in his cases.

Id love to go to a show now. I just don't understand why anyone would think it's worth the risk. I also don't understand how I could possibly enjoy being there. I'd be on edge with every contact. I've had very good experiences on ebay recently, for now that has to be as good as it gets.

I felt it was a great show and the way it was done was reasonably safe. I bought a lot at mostly 2 dealer's tables. Wearing the mask all day was a bit uncomfortable, though it gave me a new appreciation for those in the service sector.

I am glad those who attended took the right precautions and had some success.
