Not to take the thread sideways, but ebay started collecting sales tax for Georgia 4/1. Apparently it's for everything but coins, which is fortunate. |

Just for clarification. This is from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (The sales tax people in Texas) regarding sales tax exemptions ...
"Sec. 151.336.
Certain Coins and Precious Metals
The sale of gold, silver, or numismatic coins, or of platinum, gold, or silver bullion, is exempt. This section was added in 1989, and amended in 2013 to remove a $1,000 threshold for the exemption."

Been paying taxes for some time in NJ for bullion and numismatic coins. Sigh!

Still waiting here, too. ebay said "no worries", but "It'll take 7 to 10 days for a refund to be processed and completed". Still have a few more days to go. |

Entering the "7 to 10 day" window that ebay said it would take to resolve this. Crickets are still just chirping along. |

I was told 14 business days. Been 11 business days so far.

Talked with ebay CS rep today and they are saying I should have a refund by Friday. We shall see! |

I got refunded for one item. Still waiting on the other.
The bad news is it happened to me again last night so it's still an intermittent problem.

I got my almost 100$ sales tax refund this morning! ebay took the full 10 business days to get it done. At least I got it back! |
